Large Leaf Chinese Malabar Spinach , also known as soft-leafed vegetable or tofu vegetable. It is a creeping plant with strong growth vigor and branching ability. The leaves are green, broadly ovate, slightly pointed at the tip, smooth and glossy, thick and juicy, with a fresh and delicious taste. The tender leaves can be used as the main dish, stir-fried, or made into soups.

大叶木耳菜,又称软浆叶或豆腐菜。它是一种蔓生植物,生长势强,分枝能力强。叶子呈绿色,阔卵圆形,先端略尖,表面光滑有光泽,肉质肥厚多汁,味道鲜美。嫩叶可作为主食,炒菜或煮汤。

Key points for sowing:
The wood ear vegetable can be cultivated in spring, summer, and autumn. Seeds can be sown directly or seedlings can be transplanted. Due to their thick and hard seed coat, germination of dry seeds takes a relatively long time, typically more than 10 days. To improve germination rate and shorten germination time, it is recommended to soak the seeds in warm water (25-30°C) for at least 48 hours, while rubbing them continuously during soaking. After soaking, place the seeds in conditions around 30°C to induce germination. Once half of the seeds show a white tip, they can be sown, and seedlings will emerge in 6-7 days. Transplant when they have 4-5 true leaves. It's worth noting that wood ear vegetables can also be grown hydroponically, offering rich nutrition with high levels of minerals and vitamins.

播种要点:
木耳菜春、夏、秋三季均可栽培。种子可直接播种,也可育苗后移栽。由于其种壳厚而坚硬,干种子发芽时间较长,通常需10天以上。为提高发芽率和缩短发芽时间,建议将种子浸泡在25-30℃的温水中至少48小时,并在浸泡过程中不断揉搓。浸泡后,将种子放置在30℃左右的环境下促进发芽。当半数种子露出白色芽时,即可播种,6-7天后可出苗。当苗长出4-5片真叶时进行定植。值得注意的是,木耳菜也可以进行水培,营养丰富,富含大量无机盐和维生素。
