The Longyou Mei belongs to a special series of plum varieties known as "Rare Gems of Plum Blossoms." It thrives in adaptable conditions, preferring a moist and sunny environment. It is cold-resistant, capable of safely overwintering in temperatures not dropping below minus fifteen degrees Celsius. With robust branching, its distinctive feature lies in the dragon-like twists and turns of its branches. The unique, natural twists resemble the movements of a dragon or serpent in a mesmerizing dance, hence the name Longyou Mei. Its flower petals, shaped like a plate, are semi-double and white, earning it the additional name of "Jade Plate Longyou Mei.
